Nothing About Hawaiian Wildfire Makes Sense

There doesn't appear to be a natural explanation for the the fire in Lahaina, Hawaii.  Normal wild-land fires do not selectively remove buildings.

Was a directed energy system involved?  Was this horrendous devastation premeditated?  Why Hawaii, of all places?
