Twins Paradox

Can either physics.stackexchange thread (one referencing the other) provide a satisfactory explanation of the Twins Paradox?  It doesn't appear so to me.

The predictable "possible responses" to a Relativity Challenge are covered in the above threads and additional Google searching has, for me, resulted in more of the same.  Truthfully, the satire in Relativity Facepalm may be real.
